Gladiator Slot Review
There’s little doubt that Gladiator was a hit film, and this game by Playtech is based entirely on the Ridley Scott production of the same name. The reels are filled with symbols of the characters from the film, including Maximus, Gracchus, Juba, and Lucilla. The remainder of the symbols are made up of standard slot game icons, A, K, Q, J, 9 and 10. Gameplay is also backed by an authentic, ancient soundtrack, which provides the ultimate atmosphere for you as you spin the reels.
The game itself has five reels and three rows worth of a layout, while a total of 25 lines are able to be wagered on. Alternatively, players can decrease the amount of active lines should they so choose, and meanwhile, the coin value can be altered between the minimum of £0.01 and the maximum of £100 per payline. This allows players to place a maximum overall wager of £2,500 per round. A total of 99 autospins can be played with the relevant button as well.
The wild symbol is represented by that of Maximus, and this symbol stands in for any other symbol on the reels to make a win, except scatters. This will only appear on reels two, three and four. Three of these symbols appearing on the reels will begin the Gladiator Bonus.
The Gladiator Bonus picks nine random helmets of different prize values, either gold, silver or bronze. All helmet wins are added up to provide a payout.
There’s also a Colosseum symbol, which acts as the scatter icon. If three or more of these symbols land anywhere on the reels, it will trigger the Colosseum Bonus feature. You start at the row to the bottom, and you need to pick stones to reveal what you win. Each row contains a different type of prize, with the first row containing freespins, the second row contains freespins with multipliers, the third row contains scatter symbols, and the fourth contains extra wild symbols.
Gladiator offers up a game that is very true to the film and provides an entertaining product filled with extras.
