The Sopranos Slot Review
If you were a fan of the popular television show, The Sopranos, you’ll no doubt love the Playtech game of the same name. It provides an amazing look in to Tony Soprano and his world of mobsters and Mafia gangs. As such, the reels of the game are filled with all the main characters of the series, including Tony himself, portrayed by James Gandolfini, as well as Tony Sirico as Paulie Walnuts, Vincent Curatola as Johnny Sack, Michael Imperioli as Christopher Moltisanti, Steven R. Schirripa as Bobby Baccalieri, and John Ventimigli as Artie Bucco. These are accompanied by the regular video slot icons of A, J, K, Q and 10.
The game itself offers up a five reel and three row layout, which has also had a total of 25 different pay lines added to its interface. These lines can be customised to your own preferences by using the plus and minus buttons indicated underneath the current total shown. The same goes for the wager that you place per round, as this can be changed between its minimum of £0.01 per line, offering a minimum overall bet of £0.25, and it will reach up to a maximum overall wager of £1,250 per spin. A ‘Bet Max’ and an ‘Auto Play’ button have also been added to the layout.
There’s a whole host of specialities included in this game, starting with the ‘Raid Bonus Feature’. This is triggered at random during the base game, and this presents you with four different envelopes. A cash prize of two times your stake is hidden in each one. You need to hide them in a choice of four hideouts. Two of these are raided, and if the raiders are unsuccessful in finding your envelopes, these are then credited to your balance.
There’s also a stolen goods bonus symbol, and if this appears anywhere on reel one and five simultaneously, you’ll trigger the ‘Stolen Goods Bonus Feature’. Here, you need to choose from the 10 different containers to try and win cash prizes. All cash prizes are shown down the side of the reels, but you only have three choices to make.
Should you spin three ‘Bada Bing’ bonus icons on the middle reels, you’ll trigger the feature round of the same name. Here, you’ll meet with five characters, those being Artie, Bobby, Christopher, Johnny and Paulie. You need to choose one of them, which will reward you with a cash prize and a meeting with Tony Soprano.
The big attraction of this game is the ‘Crime Family Free Games’ round, which is triggered when three game logos appear anywhere on the reels. There are four different freespins modes in the game – Soldier, Capo, Boss and Family. You start with the Soldier freespins round, but can unlock the others en route. Each of these provides a different amount of freespins and multipliers.
The Sopranos slot game from Aristocrat is a great take on the TV show and offers up another product cram-packed with extra features.
