Crystal Queen Slot Review
It’s obvious from the first glance that Crystal Queen looks very much like an adapted game version of Disney’s ‘Frozen’ film. The reels have symbols of the ice queen, a red-headed girl who could potentially be the game’s version of Anna, a blonde man who could be Kristoff, and a reindeer that strongly resembles Sven. So, it’s very clear to see where the inspiration for such a game has been taken from. There’s also a fairytale soundtrack to accompany gameplay.
There’s five reels worth of a layout incorporated into the game, and initially, you’re provided with three rows. There are three more rows added above these, all of which are frozen over. Every winning combination created defrosts one of the rows, so you are potentially able to play on five reels and six rows. The coin value of the game can be changed between £0.01 and £2.00 per line, of which there are 20 initially, and as the other rows defrost, there’s a total of 56. Therefore, a maximum wager of £100 can be placed overall.
As mentioned, every winning combination will defrost a row from the top. Once this is done, the symbols included in the win will dissolve and more will fall into their place. If another win is created, another row is defrosted and the process continues. Furthermore, every row that defrosts activates an increased multiplier.
There’s also a regular wild symbol included in gameplay, which substitutes for all other icons and only appears on reels four and five in the base game and reels one, two, four and five during the freespins bonus game. Alongside, a spreading wild appears on reels one, two and three during the baase game and on reels two, three and four in freespins. This adds between one and five extra wild symbols in random positions adjacent to itself.
The Freespins Bonus round provides 10 freespins, which are triggered by three or more Freespins Bonus scatter symbols. All six rows are automatically in play for the freespins round, and therefore, all 56 paylines are as well. In addition, win both ways is also activated.
While it’s clear that Crystal Queen has strong ties to the aforementioned film, it does actually offer up a nice game to play, which includes plentiful extras to assist in big wins.
