The Dogfather slot game presented by Microgaming puts a canine twist on the well-known film series, The Godfather. Of course, instead of the mob being made up of human beings, this game sees villainous dogs take over the reels. As far as the imagery on the reels is concerned, you’ll find that there are five low paying symbols provided, and these are in the form of soap and gloves, some doggy steel knuckles, a cigar cutter and money wallet, a purple plush rabbit filled with money, and a revolver. There’s also four other higher paying icons, which are represented by various different dogs.
You’ll find that the game is played on a five reel and three row interface with 20 paylines. You can change these at your own leisure, simply by pressing on the ‘Lines’ button, or on one of the numbers from either side of the reels. You can also alter the amount of the wager that you place per spin, and this is done by first of all changing the value of a single coin between £0.01 and £1. This allows a maximum bet of £100 per round to be placed.
Special Features
The wild symbol of this game is a bulldog smoking on a cigar. As a wild, this icon will stand in for any other symbols in order to give you a win, with the exception of the scatter and bonus icon. If five of them appear on a pay line, you’ll receive a the max pay out of 13,000 coins.
Itchy da Flea is the game’s scatter symbol, and this pays out wherever it shows up on the reels. Should three, four or five of them make an appearance, you’ll receive 13 freespins. During the freespins round, all your wins are tripled, except for bonus wins. Freespins can also be re-triggered during this round.
Finally, the fire hydrant symbol is the game’s bonus icon. You’ll need to spin three, four or five of these into scattered locations on the reels to trigger the ‘Mark Your Territory Bonus’ round. This round gives you a new screen to select various different hydrants from, and these will reveal random bonus win amounts.

Dogfather is a really comical take on the aforementioned films, and it provides entertainment beyond the norm. This is all due in part to its special features, such as the bonus round and the freespins, and these all make it thoroughly compelling.
