Gorilla is a very visually pleasing Novomatic slot game. It provides players with a very authentic tropical feel thanks to the beautiful, very detailed backdrop. It showcases the dense jungle greenery, hidden away behind a veil of mist. The reels provide some rather interesting graphics, as well. You will find some brightly colored regular playing card symbols that appear to be carved out of wood. They also have some tribal markings on them, just to add some more to the general atmosphere. Some tropical bird sounds will be there to accompany the flamboyant avifauna on the reels. And of course, the mighty gorilla – star of the show – will be there, too. Don’t expect too much from the animated sequences, though – they’re not the real accent here.

A golden mask acts as the game’s Wild symbol and can replace any of the other symbols to make up winning sequences. Naturally, this doesn’t apply for the Scatter symbol in this game, which is in the shape of an African map. But more interestingly, the Scatter symbol can trigger Gorilla’s cool bonus feature. You will need to land three of a kind anywhere on the reels to activate it. Gorilla is a bit dated visually, however, it still makes for a very decent slot. Gameplay is well-paced and fairly exciting. This game is a medium to high variance one and can really make for some nice winnings.
