King of Slots is one of the more exclusive Netent products, and it provides gamers with an introduction to the royal palace of a small and regal man – obviously the king himself, who can be seen in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. The reels of the game are filled with regular icons such as the A, J, K, Q and 10 symbols displayed in many other slot games, and there’s also four additional symbols which are jewel-like cherries, and watermelon and lemon slices. There’s also a bejewelled crown as well.
As far as the interface of the game is concerned, this is presented on a five reel and three row layout. Netent have also included a total of 25 separate pay lines in the game, and these are not able to be customised in any way. However, all players do have the option of adjusting their bet amount per round, which is done first of all by changing around the value of a single coin. This provides a range of between £0.01 and £1 per line, as well as the option to altering the bet level between one and 10. This allows all players the chance to place a maximum overall wager of £250 per spin.
Special Features
As far as the additional features of this game are concerned, they start with something known as the ‘Sticky Wins’. Any winning bet line, or three or more scatter icons, will trigger this particular function. All reels with winning symbols are held in place while the others re-spin, providing you with stronger chances of more wins. This function is triggered again if further wins are generated after the re-spin.
There’s also a wild symbol included in the game, which is represented by the blue gemstone with the word ‘WILD’ etched across the front. Wilds will substitute for all other icons on the reels in order to form a winning combination, with the exception of scatter symbols.
And speaking of scatter icons, should five or more of these show up on the screen, you’ll trigger the freespins round. Five scatters will give you 10 freespins, six will give you 15 freespins, seven offer up 20 freespins and eight provide you with 25 freespins. If you manage to spin between nine and 15 scatters onto the reels, you’ll be given 30 freespins. The freespins round provides pay outs which are tripled.
