The developers have even managed to squeeze in the lower level playing card symbols, however included only 3 of them: A, K and Q. Aside from them, players can feast their eyes on a number of differently colored and shaped candies. What’s more, they’ve even brought out the heavy artillery in the form of gingerbread men and delicious, rich cupcakes. In addition, the backdrop features a fairytale kind of town, which appears to comprise entirely of sugar, with candy canes growing straight out of the rooftops.
The layout is a classic 5 reels and 3 rows, with a total number of 20 paylines. As it is with most games by this developer, you cannot adjust the number of paylines. But you can set the coin value and determine how many coins you would like to bet per line. Stakes range from 20p to £100 per spin and the RTP is an estimated 96.52%.
Special Features
This game provides a number of special symbols, each with its sickly sweet charm. First up is the Wild symbol; it comes in the form of a merry gingerbread man. It doesn’t have any particular value to it, but can replace all of the regular symbols to create winning combos. However, this does of course not apply to the Bonus and Scatter symbols.
Speaking of them, let’s have a look at the Bonus symbol, which in our opinion seems the most appetizing. It pictures a yummy cupcake with a cherry on top of it. It can appear anywhere on the reels, but what you will be after is landing 3 at a time. This will activate the bonus feature, which will reward you with a cash prize. The amount will depend on the number of cupcakes you landed. Thus, 3 Bonus symbols will give you a prize equal to 30 times your stake. 4 cupcakes will award you 90 times your stake, whereas finally 5 cupcakes will score you 150x your stake.
In addition, there’s also the Gummy Bears Scatter symbol. It can also appear anywhere on the reels and you will also be looking to land at least 3 Scatters. This will activate the freespins bonus features, awarding a different number of freespins, depending on the number of Scatters that triggered the feature. 3 Scatters will give you 10 freespins, whereas 4 and 5 will grant you 15 and 20 freespins, respectively.

Sugar Rush offers a very fun design with decent quality graphics. Gameplay is rather exciting, especially with the prospect of two bonus features in mind. However, they are fairly elusive and might try your patience. Nevertheless, the payouts can be well worth it, which puts this slot in the medium to high variance range.
