Vikings Go Wild Slot Review
It’s very appropriate that a developer called Yggdrasil Gaming should come up with a game called Vikings Go Wild, and the introductory video package that plays before the product can be played is nothing short of wonderful, both visually and musically. You’re then presented with reels that are filled with a variety of Viking seamen and old coins in a variety of colours.
The game provides a five reel and four row layout, bookended by the front of a longship. There’s a total of 25 fixed paylines included as well, and the coin value can be altered between the minimum of £0.01 up to the maximum of £2.00. That allows an overall maximum wager of £50 per spin to be placed across the paylines.
The game incorporates wild symbols, which will stand in for all other symbols on the reels except freespin symbols. Wild substitutes for the highest winning combination from left to right.
The freespins symbol features a Viking longboat, and three or more of these symbols appearing on the reels trigger the freespins mode. A total of three symbols will activate eight freespins, four freespin symbols will trigger 16 freespins, and five icons will give you 24 freespins of the reels. During this mode, each Viking that lands on the reels has a chance to turn into a sticky wild. These will stay on screen until the end of freespins.
Furthermore, during the main game, a treasure chest symbol can appear on the final reel and can contain 8-12 freespins or up to 1000 coins. During freespins, it can provide a further 2-4 freespins, up to 1000 coins or a wild reel feature.
Vikings Go Wild is a very entertaining game, with a very appropriate soundtrack, perfectly designed imagery and a strong selection of added extras.
