Secrets of Christmas is a lovely, dreamy Netent slot and is just the thing to deliver that Christmas spirit. The game is actually a clone of another slot by this provider – Secret of the Stones. And this is really promising, because we happen to be very fond of that game. The developers have escaped all the noisiness and flamboyance of regular Christmas slots and have gifted us something entirely different, with a deliciously mysterious feel to it.

You better watch out and you better be nice, because Santa Claus will be delivering bonus features in this game! In Secrets of Christmas Santa is the Wild symbol and he can replace any of the other symbols to help form winning combinations. Of course, this doesn’t include the Scatter.
His bag of presents represents the Scatter symbol and it is the one you would want to watch out for. It can land anywhere on the reels and if you land three at the same time, this will trigger the freespins. The number of freespins you can receive for three or more Scatters is 10. However, that doesn’t mean that the number of Scatters doesn’t matter.
There’s an additional feature to this bonus and it will depend on the number of Scatters that triggered the freespins feature. Before the freespins begin, a new screen will offer you a set of twenty Christmas presents to choose from. The number of your picks will be equal to the amount of Scatters, so it can be 3, 4 or 5. The Christmas presents, in turn, will grant you extra features throughout the duration of the freespins. For example, by revealing the snowflake you can gain 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 extra freespins!

Summary
All in all, Secrets of Christmas is a very well-built slot machine. It offers a fairly entertaining gaming experience, with fantastic graphics and a unique atmosphere. The good RTP and complex bonus feature only contribute to its overall appeal. However, we did find it a bit disappointing that Netent didn’t come up with a new engine for this slot.
