Top 5 Monopoly slot games

Monopoly Big Event.Monopoly Big Event is an online slot game by one of the UK’s leading software providers – Barcrest. It’s one of the first Monopoly slots to be released ever. The design isn’t as dazzling as in the previous title, and in comparison it’s quite plainer. But the graphics are still pretty sharp anyway. The backdrop features the famous board game as we know it to look in its classic form, only it has a very saturated red tint. And typically, there’s a jazzy soundtrack here to add some music to gameplay. But you can only hear it when the reels are spinning, mind you. As for the symbols here, there are two main types. First are the lower value playing card icons. These include the symbols A, K, Q, J and 10. After this, we have the higher value icons and these are all different Monopoly playing pieces. These start with the dog figurine, after which is the cat, then – the car, and finally, the ship. Last but not least is the Rich Uncle Pennybags symbol aka Mr. Monopoly. He offers players up to 2,000 coins for a winning combo. Moving on to the game’s layout, it’s pretty traditional, featuring 5 reels and 3 rows. The total number of available paylines here is 20, whereas these are fixed and you cannot regulate them. But this makes for a very flexible betting range of between 20p per spin and £500 per single spin. The game also features a Wild symbol that is just as lucrative as Mr. Monopoly himself. It can appear in any position on the reels, replacing any of the other symbols. In doing so, it can help create better winning opportunities for you. However, it can’t substitute for the Bonus and Jail symbols. The former can only land on reels 1, 3 and 5 and you will need to land all three of them to trigger the Big Event bonus. Depending on the number of stacked symbols you landed on reels 5 (2 or 3), you will enter in House or Hotel sneak preview. As a result, you will then access a pick me game that will reveal to you the number of freespins and bonus feature that will go with them. You can, for example, gain the Dancing Wilds feature, where one random reel per freespin will become fully Wild. Then there’s also the Locking Wilds, which will give you sticky Wilds for the duration of the bonus. Note also the Big Bet mode, which enables you to buy 5 consecutive spins for a higher amount. This mode can allow you to benefit from an increasing multiplier in one case, and from sticky Wilds in the other.

There’s much going on in Monopoly Big Event, but it’s really not all that complicated once you get the hang of it. It’s not particularly volatile, so you will be able to land wins pretty frequently.

Super Monopoly Money.Super Monopoly Money is a WMS online slot game that was originally land-based. But players can now also enjoy it online, as well. Visually, it’s a fantastic online slot games, with polished, shiny, high quality graphics. Those alone will mesmerize you for quite a bit before you actually start playing. There’s also a very easy-going and pleasant soundtrack to accompany gameplay. And in the backdrop you can see some of the most recognizable European landmarks. Among their number are the Eifel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Big Ben. It’s a lovely sunny day, and you can take in the bright blue sky even from behind the semi-transparent reels.

As for the symbols here, they feature brilliant depictions of the classic playing pieces. These are the hat, the shoe, the cruise ship and the retro car. The higher value symbols include some more contemporary means of transportation as well. And after that you will also get to meet a white dog, a Parisian and finally – Rich Uncle Pennybags. As for the layout, it’s pretty standard, featuring 5 reels and 3 rows, with 25 fixed paylines. Stakes might come across as rather steep, though, ranging from 35p per spin up to a maximum of £105 per single spin.

There are a number of special symbols in this title, too. One of them is the pretty lucrative Wild symbol, which can land in any position on the reels. Furthermore, it can replace any of the regular symbols. But that power does not spread onto any of the other special icons. These include another Wild, the MM Wild symbol, which can substitute for all symbols except the Free Parking icon. It can only land on reel 5, though. And when it does, it will expand to cover the whole reel. The Free Parking symbol, in turn, will trigger a pick me game, where you will have 5 symbols to choose from. Depending on what your pick reveals, you can create a winning combo, trigger the Freespins round or boost your winnings.

You can also trigger the freespins bonus the old-fashioned way, by landing 3 or more of the Bonus symbols. These need to land on adjacent reels from left to right, starting with the 1st reel. And depending on their number, they can award you 8, 10 or up to 15 freespins. Better yet, you can also retrigger this feature for more freespins. Another important feature to point out is the Wheel Bonus, which is a wheel of fortune. By spinning it, it can award you multipliers, respins or one of two additional pick-me games. These are Chance and Community Chest – just like you have in the original board game. And these can also give you multiplier values, potentially of up to 200 times your total stake.

All in all, Super Monopoly Money is a vastly entertaining title with superb visuals. It has plenty of features to keep you engaged and offers a variety of winning opportunities. Not to mention that the game’s medium variance will allow you to land decent size prizes at regular intervals.

Epic Monopoly 2.This is also a WMS title and it’s different from the rest in that it features two whole sets of reels at once – but more on that in just a bit. Typically for Monopoly games, Epic Monopoly II boasts high quality graphics and a very classy, elegant setting. Here it appears to take place in a grand theater, with antique columns and dark red velvet curtains visible in the backdrop. You, the player, have the perspective of the audience looking down onto the stage. In addition to that, the game also has a very pleasant soundtrack playing, to keep gameplay lively and fun. As for the symbols here, they also feature a number of classic playing pieces. And some you will recognize from Super Monopoly Money.

The playing pieces represent the lower value symbols on these reels and all offer the exact same payouts. The pieces in question include the show, the hat, the ship and last but not least, the car. Next, following a moderate increase in value, we have the bag of cash a symbol depicting a wagon full of gold. After that we have a male and female character symbols. And finally, there’s the dog and Rich Uncle Pennybags aka Mr. Monopoly, who can both appear in full-reel stacks. As for the layout, the first set of reels features 5 reels and 4 rows. And the second set is the Colossal Reels set, with 5 reels and a whopping 12 rows. Together, both sets have 100 fixed paylines and bets span from 50p per spin up to a total of £50 per single spin.

There are two special symbols you will want to look out for in this game: the Wild and the Bonus icons. The Wild is the more lucrative of the two and can appear in any positon on the reels. But more importantly, it will be able to replace any of the other symbols and help with winning combos. It cannot substitute for the Bonus symbol, though. In turn, the Bonus icon can only land on reel 1, 3 and 5 on both reels sets. And you will need to land a minimum of 3 Bonus symbols in random positions across both sets in order to trigger the Epic Wheel bonus round. Landing more than 3 will also award you additional cash prizes of up to 100 times your total bet. Spinning the wheel can award you a new spin or a cash prize of 250x your bet. It can also trigger the freespins bonus, the Around the Board bonus or the Epic Chance Bonus. Just like in the previous slot, the Around the Board feature will grant you a round on the board game. You can win lucrative cash prizes on it and trigger other mini features. As for the Epic Chance bonus, it features a pick me game with just as many cool rewards.

We would put this title in the medium variance range, which is ideal for a slot with this much to experience. There are so many features and so much going on. So prizes are for the most part pretty decent and come in at regular intervals. But obviously the bonus rounds will be bringing larger rewards to the table.

Monopoly Bring the House Down.Monopoly Bring the House Down is also a Barcrest online slot game. And unlike the previous title, the structure here is slightly more complex. But nothing too over-the-top – you still get a feel for it pretty quickly once you start playing. And again, most of gameplay revolves around the original board game. Even the design pays tribute to the classic board, picturing it in its backdrop. It is a bit of a newer slot, though, so the controls look nicer. And of course we have the same good old jazz music playing in the background and enhancing the overall vibe. The symbols in this title are very much like the ones in the previous one by Barcrest. They feature the lower value playing card icons A, K, Q, J and 10. Moving further up in value to the higher paying icons, you will again see the traditional playing pieces. These start with the boat, moving on past the car and cat symbols. And finally they reach the doggie icon, which is the most lucrative of the regular icons. The layout in Monopoly Bring the House down goes slightly beyond what’s conventional. It features 5 reels and 4 rows, with a total of 40 active paylines. The paylines here are fixed, but you will find that betting amounts have a surprisingly liberal range. They span from a minimum of 10p per spin and up to £500 per spin. This online slot game comes with a whopping 5 different bonus features. It also has a Wild to replace any of the other symbols on the screen. It also happens to be the highest paying icon in the game, but it won’t be able to substitute for the game’s logo. In turn, the logo symbol acts as a Scatter and it can only land on reels 1, 3 and 5. You will need to land all three at the same time, which will trigger the freespisn bonus round, giving you 8 freespins. Another feature to consider is the Hot Zone feature. There will be a Hot Zone pattern spinning independently from the reels. And if any of the Hot Zone symbols land on a Hot Zone Wild position, they will turn into Wilds. The other features in this slot take place randomly, and one of them involves the Green House symbols on the reels turning into Red Hotels. As a result, players receive a random multiplier. And if any of these symbols land during the freespins feature, they will turn sticky for the remainder of the freespins. And like any Barcrest game, this one also has a Big Bet mode. For the price of £20, £30, £40 or £50 you can buy 5 linked spins. These will give you a chance to win guaranteed winning spins, cash prizes, additional spins, multipliers, sticky Wilds, and more. The Big Bet feature also automatically increases your RTP up to 98%, which is also noteworthy.

All in all, we’d say that Monopoly Bring the House Down lacks much of what Monopoly Big Event has to offer. But it is also in the medium variance range, which means you will get a good chance of experiencing all the different features and pocketing some pretty decent prizes.

Monopoly Once Around Deluxe.

Monopoly Once Around Deluxe is another Monopoly-based title by software developer WMS. This also happens to be this provider’s most popular title, which up to a point was only land-based. But now it is thankfully also available online and therefore to a wider audience. And it’s not difficult to see why players like it so much. The graphics are great, featuring sharp and shiny visuals with representations of classic Monopoly playing pieces. The backdrop here pictures the view over a night city and in the background you can actually hear its noises. There are people walking, talking, engines starting and cars driving off. And once you start spinning the reels, there will be a jazzy soundtrack to add to the ambience.

As we pointed out, the symbols here include the traditional playing pieces, whereas a mixture of any of them forms the lowest paying combos. These include the shoe, the dog and the car. Next up are the water and electricity plant icons that you will also recognize from the board game. After that, we have the Free Parking icon, following which is the train station symbol. Then there’s a diamond ring, and Mr. Monopoly holding a pair of dice, who is also a Bonus symbol. The layout in this title features the common grid of 5 reels and 3 rows. And there are 15 paylines in total, but you cannot regulate these. Wager amounts on the other hand are pretty flexible and span from 15p up to £75 per spin.

Another Mr. Monopoly symbol (this time without dice) acts as the game’s Wild and also most lucrative symbol. It can land in any positon, anywhere on the five reels. And there are only 5 symbols that the Wild will not be able to substitute for when creating winning combinations. These are the Bonus and two Scatter symbols. You will really want to look out for the former, because landing 3 of those on a payline during a spin will trigger the Once Around Deluxe bonus round. Choose your playing piece in the beginning and then begin a game of Monopoly – on a board! The dice will tell you how many steps to advance, whereas you can collect prizes as you go. You will have all the same things that the real board game has: Jail, Luxury Tax, the Chance and Community Chest positions, etc.

And as your journey progresses, you will also be able to build houses on properties with additional bets. Better yet, if you build 5 houses on a property, they become a hotel and landing on properties with your houses will give you rent checks. So, potentially each one can award you up to 180 times your total stake. There is a detailed paytable in the game where you can check which properties will be more lucrative than others. All in all, though, this is the most lucrative feature itself promising wins of potentially up to 1,480 times your stake. However, Monopoly Once Around Deluxe is a medium variance title, so the majority of wins in the base game will be more frequent, but of a lesser value.

The history of Monopoly

Monopoly – who isn’t a fan of one of the most popular board games out there? Of course, it is often also the reason for a minor squabble from time to time (perhaps even a ruined family night), but it’s undeniably loads of fun. In case you have never played or don’t quite remember what the game was about, let’s refresh your memory. The game can be played by anywhere from 2 to 8 players at a time, where each starts out with a certain amount of money. Players then use that money to acquire various properties across the board, using a pair of dice and a playing piece to move around it. Anyone who lands on your property will owe you a fee. And in addition to that, there are things like mystery cards that can award you money, get you to pay to the bank, take steps back and forth, etc. The objective of Monopoly is to bankrupt your opponents and be the only one remaining – the monopolist.

Therefore, as you can quite clearly see, it’s easy for players to get taken by the game and get frustrated, depending on how well they’re doing. Monopoly first appeared in the 1930s, which means it has been around for some 80 years now. And since its initial release, there have been myriads of later variations created. You can find Monopoly with capitals of the world, or those that feature different streets in your city as property. There are different editions for different countries, featuring the most notable landmarks in those countries. The different editions also have different currencies and denominations. And some versions of Monopoly have even gone beyond paper money, introducing debit cards instead!

And a fun fact that most fans of the game probably don’t know is that it actually also played a role in global history. The British Secret Service asked to have sets created with a compass, file, maps, escape plans, etc., during the Second World War. These sets could then later be distributed to prisoners of war by fake charities.
